Short Shaft / Short Leg

This motor is a short-shaft, or short-leg, model, making it suitable for boats designed for a short-shaft outboard. Buyers should confirm their boat’s required shaft length before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

The compact design makes the motor convenient for smaller boats and applications where a short-shaft outboard is required.

Freshwater Use Only

One of the key features of this particular motor is that it has only ever been used in fresh water. This is an important detail for buyers looking for a clean used outboard.

The motor has been kept in excellent condition, and its freshwater-only history makes it an attractive option for someone looking for a used Yamaha 20 HP outboard without a history of saltwater use.
